Innovation & Future Thinking
I am always fascinated by new technology and the progress it brings. For designers, technologies are always doubly interesting. You can either incorporate new technology into the design process, like drawing with VR glasses, or think about what new products could be created through technological progress. In Michael Shamiyeh's futures literacy courses, I learned how to create and explore alternative futures, how to apply them to ideas and concepts and to embrace an anticipatory mindset to think ahead into the future.

Design Management & Branding
In my Master's degree, I focused on design and innovation management. It was important for me to think about how product planning works and how to position products on the market sensibly and effectively. This also includes finding out what the core values of a company are and how they want to position themselves on the market in the future. In a cooperation with an austrian company i had the chance to develop a corporate design for graphics and product.

Design Thinking
Early in my study life in Coburg I got to know about the "Coburger Design Pilot", a structural method catalog. It is until now a solid base to make good concept development. In a project in my master time I got deeper in design thinking. In a team of three people we analysed more than 100 design thinking methods and got to know how design sprints are working. Together developed a design thinking card game for a one week sprint.

Aesthetics
Inspired by german and nordic design i love plain and simple forms. Functionality also plays an important role but always: less is more. To reduce a product surface to make it as simple as possible and clearly communicate how to use it are one of the most challenging parts in design.

Cradle to Cradle
A personally important matter is to design good and valuable products. For me, this nowadays also includes dealing with issues such as circular economy, repairability and material origin. For these topics I educate myself through books and workshops in order to take these topics into account in concepts.
